Despite a red flag, the #1 SLS AMG retained the lead going into the pit stops. Laurens Vanthoor's efforts were not enough, Alon Day was able to widen the gap on the Audi to win the first victory of the season for the German team. The previous day's winners took the second step of the podium after resisting the return of the sister car of Frank Stippler and Edward Sandström.
