FIA GT1 World: Porsche on pole at Zolder

“The Porsche is rather fast here and the track suits us a little better than that of Nogaro”, explained the New Zealander. “The conditions made tire choice difficult and we were tiptoeing forward. We had little time to make a decision but I think we made the right choices. »

The WRT Team so successful in Nogaro takes second place with the Audi R8 LMS of Frank Stippler and Oliver Jarvis while the Lamborghini Gallardo 560-4 of Peter Kox and Darryl O'Young will start from third. All Inkl.com takes fourth place with Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 of Thomas Jäger and Nicky Pastorelli who had taken pole the previous year. The second Audi from Team WRT led by Laurens Vanthoor and Stéphane Ortelli completes the top five. The BMW Z4 of Michael Bartels and Yelmer Buurman will start from sixth position. No Ford, Aston Martin, McLaren ou Ferrari did not qualify in Q3. This is a new disappointment for the reigning champion French team Hexis Racing which is still suffering from problems with the MP4-12C, only 10th and 16th in qualifying.
