GT – McLaren evolves its MP4-12C GT3

McLaren is not a firm lacking ambition. If in 2012 the English firm voluntarily limited its production to only 25 examples in Europe so as not to be dispersed among its different customers, the year 2013 should mark an acceleration in car deliveries throughout the world. This strategy seems to have paid off last year since out of the 98 races in which MP4-12C GT3s were entered, 19 resulted in victories across all 13 customer teams. Today, the GT3 is available for purchase by any customer, whether a team or a wealthy collector.

In 2013, among new clients, McLaren will already be able to count on Clearwater Racing in the Asian GT championship, when Sébastien Loeb Racing ensured its presence in the FIA GT Series with two examples benefiting from the very latest technical specifications. These concern aerodynamics, electronic management, as well as new shock absorbers. The mechanical cooling system will also be revised in order to meet the more severe thermal requirements of Asia or the Middle East. These modifications should benefit a better aero balance of the car, as well as average tire management.

The price of the “4” MP12-3C GT2013 is set at 325 Pounds Sterling excluding VAT, or approximately 000 euros.
