GT1: Hezemans happy with his pole

Mike Hezemans set the best time in the final qualifying session, with a time of 1:58:967 at the Silverstone circuit. He is ahead of the #23 Nissan GT-R of Michael Krumm and Lucas Luhr by 0??173 andAston Martin DB9 n°7 of Tomas Enge and Alex Müller.

“I should have already had pole at Sachsenring, so that’s good for morale”, comments Andreas Zuber's teammate. “To be very honest, I don't know where we got this time, apart from the fact that I was helped a little by the Nissan on the straight. »

Michael Krumm, the driver of the No. 23 Nissan GT-R, is satisfied with his position, but he still regrets not having taken first place. “I am disappointed not to have achieved pole. I made a few mistakes and I pushed a little too hard, losing a few tenths. I'm still happy that the GT-R is on the front row, which is really important. We have good straight line speed and I'm pretty confident for the race. »
