Hexis AMR wants to win at home

The Hexis AMR team will have the difficult task this weekend of representing France during the French round of the new FIA GT1 world championship, contested on the Castellet circuit. Despite encouraging performances, including a double in the qualifying race followed by a second place in the championship event at Silverstone, the only French team entered in the discipline has not yet managed to make one of its crews climb on the top step of the podium.

“We are trying to work as best we can to prepare for this crucial race for our team, says team manager Philippe Dumas. We are determined to be very strong at home. There will be a lot of people there to support our team and our cars. We now have real pressure on our shoulders in the world championship, in addition to that which we already felt in the European championship. It won't be easy but we assume! Our team is ready, our drivers are ready, we have such desire, such cohesion, that in the end nothing scares me. »

On the drivers' side, as in Brno, the Nîmes team will be able to count on choice reinforcement in the person of Stéphane Sarrazin, who will support Frédérick Makowiecki, to form a shock crew. With such a duo, to which is added that of the sister car made up of Clivio Piccione and Jonathan Hirschi and a tenfold motivation from playing at home, it would not be surprising to see the two Aston Martin French DB9s play at the forefront on the Paul-Ricard HTTT circuit. Victory seems to have never been so close.
