Hexis, for the title?

After shining in FIA GT3, the Hexis AMR team took the plunge in 2010, entering two Aston Martin DB9 in the all-new FIA GT1 World Championship. For its first season at this level, the Nîmes team surprised everyone by finishing second in the Teams ranking, with Frédéric Makowiecki finishing third among the Drivers.

In 2011, Philippe Dumas and his men left for a similar program, with the same car. The change is at the level of the drivers, only Clivio Piccione continuing the adventure.

The Monegasque, who was associated last year with the Swiss Jonathan Hirschi, will be supported by the 21-year-old Dutchman Stef Dusseldorp, who in 2009 and 2010 was one of the main leaders of the German championship of Formula 3.

On the second DB9 we will find the German Christian Hohenadel, 34 years old, outgoing FIA GT3 European champion. He will have Adrien Piccini at his side. The Italian knows the discipline well and has shone at the wheel of the old version of the Aston Martin on numerous occasions, notably at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, at the 24 Hours of Spa and in FIA GT.

This confirms our team spirit and it is a way of showing that we really believe in the future of this World Championship. Stéphane Ratel and the entire SRO team are working hard to make the second edition a great success. Following on from our good results at the end of 2010, it is clear that we are approaching this new challenge with real ambitions. »

And the Hexis team is already hard at work. This week, the four drivers will take turns at the wheel of the Aston Martin DB9 on the Lédenon circuit before heading to Nogaro next week to continue the tests. The objective: To cover around 4000 km in just one week.

Appetite comes with eating. After a magnificent first season, we will now have to confirm. To do better, you will have to win!
