On a circuit used for the first time by theAlpine Europa Cup, the battle for the 2020 coronation turned to the advantage of Jean-Baptiste Méla. The driver from Porto-Vecchio (Corsica) acquired the title in style, by winning Race 1 on Saturday evening.
The Autosport GP team driver beat his garage comrades Éric Traynard and Laurent Hurgon, the latter being the only one who could worry him in this final. This race was marked by Matéo Herrero's violent accident, fortunately not serious for the driver and the track marshals.
At first I thought he had saved the slide, but no, it's a huge crash for Matéo Herrero in the Alpine Elf Europa Cup race at Portimão. The Frenchman is okay and the marshal who falls down, seems to be okay as well. The race is Red Flagged. pic.twitter.com/5efE7sV87I
