Belgian Racing still unlucky

For its first season in the FIA GT1 world championship, Belgian Racing is suffering. Last weekend at Paul-Ricard, during the 7th round of the season, mechanical problems, punctures and collisions once again prevented the black, red and yellow Ford GTs of the Vanina Ick-Christoffer Nygaard and Antoine Leclerc-Yann duos. Clairay to shine.

“It looked promising (at the start of the weekend, editor’s note), laments team manager Laurence Hanssen. Christoffer and Vanina were in the top 10, and Yann and Antoine were not far away. As qualifying did not go very well for us, we started the qualifying race from the back of the starting grid. As we have seen many times this season, incidents can happen on the first lap, and we were unlucky enough to see our two cars involved in two different accidents putting them offside. During the championship race we also suffered some bad luck with Vanina suffering two punctures and Yann forced to retire due to damage to the car. We must remember the positive. And the main thing is that Christoffer (who was in charge of the second relay on Sunday, editor’s note) proved that our car could be competitive. I hope we will have the opportunity to show it at the next race. »

The next race will be in China, on the Ordos circuit, the weekend of September 3-4.
