The Marc VDS will make its return to the FIA GT Series in Baku

Marc VDS Racing will enter a Z4 GT3 during the FIA GT Series season finale contested in Baku on November 23 and 24 on a new street circuit which will not tolerate the slightest error. To successfully return to the discipline, the reigning champion Blancpain team Endurance Series will be represented by a stellar crew with Nicky Catsburg and Maxime Martin. Marc Van den Straten's team is also aiming for the €100 bonus offered to the victorious team in the streets of the Azerbaijani capital.

“I am proud to be able to work so closely with BMW Motorsport”, comments the Dutchman. “This event seems absolutely fantastic to me. It's really cool to team up with Max, I've only driven with him once, but we won on my debut at the Nordschleife (at the Nürburgring) and I hope to continue at this pace. The BMW Z4 GT3 was competitive last year in Baku and I would like that to be the case again this year. » Team Principal Bas Leinders seems convinced of the potential of his crew. “We can't wait to return to Asia, which hasn't happened since GT1. Urban races are exciting but also severe; every mistake can be costly. We are happy with the return of BMW Motorsport with the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. I have great confidence in our crew, especially after their victory in VLN. »
