The FFSA rewarded the major French players in motorsport during the annual awards ceremony which took place this Monday in Paris.

The French champions rewarded by the FFSA

The awards ceremony of the French Motor Sport Federation took place this Monday at the Trianon in Paris in the presence of President Nicolas Deschaux and members of the FFSA Steering Committee. The Federation rewarded the major players in the French and international automotive landscape.

Fabien Pailler, French champion of Rallycross, Benjamin Boulbes, French Drift champion, Sébastien Petit and Pierre Courroye, French Mountain champions in Sport and Production, Sami Meguetounif, French National champion in karting, Pierre-Louis Chovet, French Junior Karting champion, Gilles Vannelet and Mike Parisy, French GT champions, Antoine Robert and Frank Morel, French champions Historic Circuits in Mono Sport and GT Sedans, Jean-François Mourgues, French champion of VHC Rallies, Yoann Bonato, French asphalt Rally champion, Jordan Berfa, French Gravel Rally champion and Jean-Baptiste Franceschi, French Junior Rally champion, were all rewarded for their titles won this season.

The FFSA also rewarded 70 licensees who have excelled abroad, including Stéphane Peterhansel, winner for the seventh Dakar in cars, Arthur Rougier, winner of the French F4 International Championship and Romain Dumas, again victorious at Pikes Peak (Colorado). .

Also present were Léo Roussel, champion ELMS in LMP2 with G-Drive Racing, Julien Canal, champion of the LMP2 category of WEC with Vaillante Rebellion, Sacha Fenestraz, Formula champion Renault Eurocup with Josef Kaufmann Racing. The Sebastian Loeb Racing was also rewarded for its WTCC Teams Trophy as well as Renault e.dams for its Teams title in Formula e.

The general director of Renault Sport F1 Team Cyril Abiteboul also received an award for 40 years of Losange in F1, as did the director of Peugeot Sport Bruno Famin for the Lion's victory in the Dakar.

Jean Ragnotti received the Gold License for his exceptional career where he notably won the Rally Monte-Carlo 1981 and the Tour de Corse in 1982 and 1985 on Renault R5 Turbo and its 50 years of license.

The FFSA also awarded Volants d’Or. Cyril Raymond received this award for his RX2 title and his Global Rallycross Lites title, Pierre Gasly for his tenure in F1 with Toro Rosso and his place as vice-champion in Super Formula, Esteban Ocon for his promising season with Force India, as well as Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia for their fifth consecutive title in WRC.

The Steering Committee and I would like to thank them for the passion that drives them throughout the season and which allows our sport to continue to take center stage.”, commented Nicolas Deschaux.
