No fault of the Nissans in Portimao

Richard Westbrook and Peter Dumbreck, the pole men, won ahead of their JR Motorsport teammates Lucas Luhr and Michael Krumm. The latter had taken control after the pit stop, but Westbrook took the lead again on the next lap. Despite the pressure exerted by Luhr during his stint, the Briton did not tremble. Jamie Campbell-Walter and David Brabham complete the podium and are ahead of the only Aston Martin DB9 in the mix, that of the AMR Young Driver drivers, Stefan Mücke and Darren Turner.

Let us note the excellent comeback of the Lamborghini Murcielago All-Inkl of Dominik Schwager and Nicky Pastorelli. Starting from the last row due to transmission problems at the start of qualifying, the duo crossed the line in 5th place, ahead of the Ford GT Marc VDS of Yann Clairay and Maxim Martin. From its 13th place on the grid, the second Murcielago of the German team, entrusted to Marcus Winkelhock and Marc Basseng, championship leaders when they arrived in Portugal, returned to 7th place.

With the exception of Clairay, the French did not have the expected success, Michael Red remaining stuck in 15th place with Matteo Bobbi in the Corvette DKR, ahead of the Belgian Racing Ford GT of Antoine Leclerc, associated with Martin Matzke.
