Super GT – Fred Mako wins the Suzuka 1000 km!

We had to go looking for it but they got there! Frédéric Makowiecki and Naoki Yamamoto snatched their first victory of the season in Super GT, during the Suzuka 1000 km. Twice, the crew of the No. 010 Honda HSV-18 GT fielded by Dome Racing had to work hard to take the lead in the event. Thus, during the first hour of the race, it was first of all the Japanese driver who had to carry out, in the middle of traffic, a sublime maneuver on the No. 430 Lexus SC36, in the hands of Kazuki Nakajima, to take the lead in the race.

A benefit that the car of the only Frenchman entered in this competition lost after being neutralized around twenty minutes before halfway. Third then second, the duo will attack very hard to gradually get back on the No. 23 Nissan GT-R of Masataka Yanagida and Ronnie Quintarelli, which has taken the lead in the debates? Once behind the wheel, “Fred Mako” will do what is necessary to get rid of his opponent on his first try, thus regaining first place. A rank that he and his teammate will never let go of until they cross the finish line. Masataka Yanagida and Ronnie Quintarelli gave the Nismo a second place while James Rossiter and Kazuki Nakajima completed the podium in the #430 TOM?s Lexus SC36.
