Super GT – Nissan wins at Fuji

For a long time, the Lexus RC F n°38 of Team Zent Cerumo of Hiroaki Ishiura and Yuji Takachiwa dominated the fourth round of the Japanese Super GT on the Fuji circuit. The duo started from pole position this Sunday and dominated the first part of the race.

In the final laps, however, Ishiura initially saw Quintarelli's Nissan GT-R from Team Nismo return? Matsuda. If the Italian put pressure on the leader, coming back under the second, the outgoing champion was never able to attempt an attack.

Worse for number 1, since the No. 24 Kondo Racing Nissan GT-R of the Michael Krumm pair? Daiki Sasaki carried out a real final sprint to pass the two leading cars in the last ten loops and rush towards success.

If the No. 38 Lexus retains second place, the podium is completed by the Nissan GT-R n°12 of Team Impul of João Paulo de Oliveira and Hironobu Yasuda, who take control of the championship. Quintarelli and Matsuda finally failed at the foot of the podium in front of the first Honda NSX-GT, the n°100 of Team Kunimitsu from Izawa? Yamamoto.

In GT300, Honda pocketed a clear victory with the CR-Z n°55 from Team ARTA of Takashi Kobayashi and Shinichi Takagi.
