From Pasquale winner to Darwin, the double for DJR

Anton de Pasquale (Dick Johnson Racing) won the first race held on the Darwin track. As usual, the race was tough and stormy. The podium is made up of Will Davison and the championship leader who has just returned from the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Shane van Gisbergen (Triple Eight)

From Pasquale winner to Darwin, the double for DJR

Will Davison had nevertheless started his 500th start in Supercars with dignity by taking pole position. But in the third corner of the first lap, Anton de Pasquale took the lead of the race, not without having happily leaned on his teammate's Ford Mustang. In ambush, Shane van Gisbergen fails to overtake the pole sitter.

After this somewhat stormy start to the race in which there were numerous contacts among the 27 competitors, Anton de Pasquale firmly established himself in the lead. His team's strategy allows him to achieve his first success this season. The Top 5 is completed by Will Davidson, SvG followed by Chaz Mostert (Walkinshaw Andretti United) who will be downgraded after the race (for a violation of the regulations on the starting grid) and Andre Heimgartner (Brad Jones Racing).

There are two races remaining on the overheated Hidden Valley Raceway track. All results can be found on Autohebdo.fr
