This is a day that Broc Feeney will remember for the rest of his life. This Sunday, December 4 in Adelaide, the Triple Eight driver joined the Supercars winner's circle by winning his first victory, the last of the season but also the last of the current generation of cars.
Well placed in the leading group with the two Dick Johnson Racing drivers Anton de Pasquale and Will Davison, and his teammate Shane van Gisbergen, Broc Feeney was the first to go through the pit lane at the end of the 11e round. Helped by the exit of Jake Kostecki (Tickford Racing) which forced the last drivers to stop, the 20-year-old Australian found himself in 2e position only behind Will Davison.

After a first attack on 22e turn, Broc Feeney came back to charge Will Davison two passes later and his pressure pushed his rival to make a mistake which allowed him to take the lead. A solid leader, the Gold Coast native still had to manage a race restart after the accident of Bryce Full Wood (Brad Jones Racing) at 43e round. Leading ahead of Chaz Mostert (Walkinshaw Andretti United), Feeney did not tremble when relaunching the pack.

Threatened by yesterday's winner, the rookie finally held on to cross the finish line with a lead of only 0, thus obtaining his first victory in Supercars for the last of the year which also marked Holden's departure from the championship. At 9 years old, he became the 20nd youngest winner in the history of the discipline, just behind Scott McLaughlin and his 2 springs at Pukekohe in 19. Anton de Pasquale completed the Top 2013 while champion Shane van Gisbergen saw his podium dreams vanished after a penalty for a safety car infraction. He concluded his season at 3e instead.
