Ayhancan Güven chosen as Porsche Junior driver in 2020

The 2020 selection Porsche Junior delivered his verdict after three days of selection in Portimao (Portugal). Turkish Ayhancan Güven was chosen from 11 other candidates and receives an entry in the Porsche Supercup next season.

Double outgoing champion of the Porsche Carrera Cup France, Ayhancan Güven succeeds in particular the Frenchman Julien Andlauer in the program reserved for young talents of the German manufacturer.

Runner-up in the Supercup in 2019 for his apprenticeship campaign at international level, this Sim Racing expert caught the eye of Fritz Enzinger, Vice-President of Porsche Motorsport.

“For Porsche, it is important to recognize the talents and abilities of drivers, while helping them”, he explains. “During the Portimao tests, the participants were literally deciphered from head to toe. We got a complete picture of their physical and mental sides while checking out the talents behind the wheel”, continues Jasmin Steidle-Faas, head of the Porsche Motorsport Junior Program.

“It was a real honor to participate in this selection, indicates the winner. Becoming a Porsche Junior driver is a dream come true. Since I was little, I always wanted to win, and this is the best victory of my life. »
