Bathurst 12h – Towards Pro crews in 2017

The Bathurst 12 Hours, which traditionally opens the GT3 endurance event season, will see several changes for 2017 regarding crew categorizations.

A Pro category in Class A (reserved for GT3) will be introduced and will make it possible to create fully Pro crews, compositions no longer have to include Silver or Bronze drivers.

A Pro-Am trophy will also be created next year and amateur crews will also be able to compete for this trophy. Class B will remain the preserve of Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, with the 991 model becoming eligible. The GT4s will always be the bridgeheads of the C-Class.

The 2017 event will be organized from February 3 to 5 and remains the inaugural round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge.
