Berger angry with Audi: “We would have liked more understanding”
The time is not for celebration Gerhard berger, the President of ITR in charge of the German Touring Championship (DTM). Given our common association and the particular challenges we all face during the Covid-19 pandemic, we would have liked more understanding. This decision makes the situation worse and the future of the DTM now depends greatly on the reaction of our partners and sponsors. »
After these realistic words, Gerhard Berger tries to be reassuring. “I fully expect Audi to handle their departure responsibly and in partnership with ITR. My commitment is focused on the upcoming season, to ensure our many fans have an exciting and competitive season.
However, as soon as possible, I also want to create a security program for our teams, our sponsors and all those whose jobs depend on ITR. »
