Developments frozen in DTM

The 2010 regulations of DTM was expected for several weeks, the manufacturers Audi and Mercedes wanting to know which direction to take. Ultimately, no major developments will see the light of day in the German touring car championship. Developments will even be frozen from the next DTM round, on August 16 at the Nürburgring.

The 2010 DTM will therefore feature cars very similar to current cars. The decision was taken by the Deutsche Motor Sport Bund, in consultation with the two manufacturers involved in DTM, Audi and Mercedes. On August 17, the parts fitted to current cars will be dismantled and photographed, in order to be able to subsequently verify that they have not changed. The commissioners will be particularly attentive to the non-development of the aerodynamic elements, the safety cell, the steering system and the engine.
