Dominant, McLaughlin scores hat-trick in Darwin

The days go by and the same for Scott McLaughlin (Ford). The New Zealander, not content with winning the first Supercars race in Darwin (Australia) on Saturday, doubled then tripled the stakes the next day.

The double title holder had no trouble starting from pole position twice this Sunday, August 23. “I love this track and I love it when my car behaves like this, did he declare. It's probably the best car I've ever driven, it was perfect all weekend. »

Shane van Gisbergen (Holden) and Scott Pye (Holden), then Nick Percat (Holden) and again Scott Pye were content with places of honor against the ogre of DJR Team Penske.

Scott McLaughlin now has a 177-point margin over Jamie Whincup (6th and 7th) in the championship, and a considerable lead of 345 points over Shane van Gisbergen.
