DTM-C1: Glock leads BMW in Oschersleben

Timo Glock won the second victory of his career in DTM after dominating Race 1 at Oschersleben (Germany) where he started from pole. The former pilot of F1 retained the advantage until the finish in an event marked by several long interruptions following multiple collisions in the peloton and by the domination of BMW which has the first 4 places while placing 7 cars in the top 8.

The podium is thus completed by Bruno Spengler and Antonio Félix da Costa who profited from the battle between Augusto Farfus and Tom Blomqvist at the very start of the race to take the advantage. The Brazilian finally failed to reach the podium in front pascal wehrlein, first pilot Mercedes, which benefited from the poor performance of Mattias Ekstrom (Audi) only 14th after its mechanical problems in qualifying to regain the lead of the Championship with 4 points ahead of the double champion.

Max Martin (BMW) finished just outside the points after gaining just one position, while Adrian Tambay (Audi) finished 17th.
