DTM – Esteban Ocon debuts at Hockenheim

To start in DTM, the Hockenheim final in Germany constitutes a choice setting. French Esteban Ocon will dive into the deep end of the German Touring Car Championship races to replace the Spaniard Daniel Juncadella, resident of Mücke Motorsport, who is ill.

The native of Evreux (Eure) will take his place in la Mercedes AMG C-Coupé badged with No. 34. Luca Ghiotto's current heir apparent in GP3 Series, and European champion of F3 2014, was recruited by the star brand last May as test and reserve pilot.

The titles must be decided this weekend in the temple of German motor sports, with Pascal Wehrlein in a strong position in the Drivers' standings. The first free practice sessions are due to begin in the afternoon.
