DTM – Maxime Martin, Tsar of Moscow

Author of pole position yesterday, Maxime Martin brilliantly converted his property into victory this Sunday at the Moscow Raceway. The driver of the BMW M4 was never worried and at the finish beat his teammate from the propeller brand Bruno Spengler and became the first Belgian to win a race in DTM. The Munich firm triumphs on Russian soil by placing three cars in the top 5 while Audi and Mercedes experienced several problems again.

At Audi, Mattias Ekström saves the furniture by finishing 3rd after having resisted the return of the championship leader Marco Wittmann (BMW) and having launched beyond the top 10. For his part, Adrien Tambay (Audi), to whom this 3rd place seemed previously promised, was forced to retire like Mike Rockenfeller when the reigning champion hit him at the rear, shortly after a restart, following the exit of the Safety Car deployed after the stop on the track of Timo Scheider. Both Tambay and Rocky are losing valuable points in the title race and the ring brand has still not won this year.

New transparent race of the Mercedes C-Coupé. The best representative of Etoile, Christian Vietoris ranks in 7th position. The DTM will resume its rights on August 3 on the Red Bull Spielberg Ring in Austria.
