DTM – Mercedes completes its tests with the new C 63

Mercedes-AMG completed no less than 448 laps at the end of its three days of testing in Portimao (Portugal) carried out from Tuesday February 21 to Thursday February 23 with its new C 63 AMG in the process of being approved. Gary Paffett, Paul di Resta and Edoardo Mortara took turns to accumulate running time and provide feedback to the engineers before the homologation which will be carried out on Wednesday March 1st.

“It was nice to get back behind the wheel after the winter break, commented the 2005 champion who completed 159 loops of the Portuguese circuit last Tuesday. We did a lot of kilometers and we collected a lot of data on the short and long relays. We studied the behavior of the tires and also worked a little on the settings. It was a good day, but as usual we still have a lot of work to do. »

“It was rough, but I had good feelings, added Paul di Resta who completed 143 laps the following day. Approval is fast approaching and there was a lot to do this week. I hope we will have a good package that will allow us to fight for the title. »
