DTM – Audi quintuple in qualifying at Zandvoort

Timo Sheider has a difficult year behind the wheel of the Audi A5 DTM. After six races, the 2008 and 2009 category champion only occupies ninth place in the championship, 85 points behind Gary Paffett. During the qualifying session, the German did well by taking pole position ahead of four other Audi drivers. Mike Rockenfeller will start in second position ahead of Felipe Albuquerque, Edoardo Motora and Mattias Ekström.

Jaime Green ends Audi's streak by placing his Mercedes AMG C-Coupé in sixth position. A week after winning its second race of the season, BMW completely missed the point in the Netherlands. Only Dirk Werner managed to cross the threshold of Q2 and he will be seventh on the grid. Gary Paffett, eighth in qualifying, will try to get back on track in the championship since his current runner-up, Bruno Spengler, will start from 18th place on the starting grid.

Adrien Tambay enters Q3 once again and sets the 10th time, but the Frenchman will surely be disappointed by his performance in this session since he set the 4th time in Q2.
