Le DTM took a break from competition to compete in a non-Championship event in Munich where the drivers of the discipline compete on a short course set out in the city stadium. The first day being reserved for team clashes, it is Mercedes who wins the game with Ralf Schumacher and Jamie Green, the last winner at the Norisring, who beat Timo Scheider and Adrien Tambay who represented Audi in the final. “Of course, I am delighted with this first place. It was an absolutely perfect day for me and I could just get used to it.", commented the brother of the seven-time world champion.
The manufacturer's crew on the rings which was made up of the double champion and the Frenchman only gave up victory by two tenths behind after 12 laps of racing. If disappointment could be felt by failing so close to the goal, it is a very good result for the rookie who tastes the joys of the podium. “I fought for the lead every lap, it was really close. I gave everything in the last lap, it was the best time in the final but in the end I finished just behind Green. It's really good to be on the podium with Timo (Scheider). »
