DTM – Tomczyk will aim for victory at the Nürburgring

After 11 seasons at Audi and a title won in 2011, Martin Tomczyk decided to take up the challenge offered to him by BMW, back in DTM after 20 years of absence. Despite two difficult first races, the reigning champion recovered perfectly at Brands Hatch, finishing just off the podium before claiming two second places before the summer break. Invigorated by his results, the German will aim for victory at the Nürburgring next weekend.

« Even if I was able to have a few days off this summer, I would have liked to race at the Nürburgring right after the event in the Munich stadium, explains Tomczyk. With BMW Team RMG, we have found the right rhythm and our performances are improving impressively. I was on the podium at Spielberg and at the Norisring, each time just behind the winner. We want to continue our momentum at the Nürburgring, where I already won in 2007 and 2009. »
