DTM / World RX – Ekström: The joint Hockenheim meeting? “Both win”

You are pilots of DTM and have a private team aligned in Rallycross. How do you perceive this joint meeting in Hockenheim?
It's fantastic. ITR (DTM promoter) and IMG (Rallycross RX promoter) had been working there for a long time. As the boss of a rallycross team, I am delighted that RS Supercars will have the opportunity to perform in front of the crowds that will be packed into the stands. As a DTM driver, I'm happy that the opening event is becoming even more interesting. Both championships win, but the fans will be the real beneficiaries. I am convinced that entry tickets will sell out quickly.

This year you will be riding with the No. 5 in the DTM. This is the number you had when you won the first of your two coronations. Is this a good omen?
Yes, but not only for this reason. I like the number 5 more generally, because a lot of things are connected to it.

Are you going to ride with the number 5 in the World Rallycross Championship?
The program of my team, EKS, is not yet completely completed. We are always looking for partners who can help us. Our goal is to play the whole season. But nothing is fixed yet. I hope, in any case, that EKS will be able to be part of the DTM festival in Hockenheim.
