Alexandre Prémat, good 7th in DTM

Fourth in the first free practice session then first in the second, Alexandre Prémat only qualified in eleventh position. Not ideal for the race, but the Frenchman had proven on Friday to be efficient on this track.

On Sunday, in front of 132 spectators, the Phoenix Recing resident was the only driver from the brand with the rings to set off at the wheel of a car with little downforce. Well done to him, the 000 LMS champion had a magnificent race seeing him finish in a magnificent seventh place overall.

“I am very happy to have been able to score two points, explained the tricolor on arrival. A fantastic start. I immediately stood by Timo (Scheider, editor's note), but gave him a little leeway. Then I was able to keep up with the cars around me. I was eighth until Ralf Schumacher received a drive-through for stealing the start, and so I found myself seventh. The race was hard. It was very, very hot in the cockpit. In these conditions it is difficult to stay focused. And the brakes also suffer? »

Now 8th in the championship, Prémat will try to confirm his performance on August 8, on the Nürburgring circuit.
