This is what we call a walk in the park, or almost. Author this Sunday morning of the best time in qualifying, Lucas Auer (Team Winward) was never really worried during the final meeting of the Assen meeting (Netherlands).

Remaining in the lead after the flying start, the Austrian quickly took shelter from Liam Lawson (AF Corse) and Marco Wittmann (Walkenhorst Motorsport), his main rivals this Sunday on Dutch soil. Easily in the lead, Lucas Auer took the opportunity to make his only pit stop first, forcing his competitors to raise their voices to try to beat him.

His successful strategy, the pilot of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 No. 22 was 3rd, and therefore provisionally in the lead, while waiting for the pit-stops of Kelvin van der Linde and Mike Rockenfeller. The ABT representatives passed through the pit lane, Lucas Auer then flew to his first victory of the season by resisting the return of a Liam Lawson in very good form this weekend.

Second under the checkerboard, the Kiwi keeps the reins of the championship with 10 points ahead of Marco Wittmann, 3rd this Sunday at Assen. Kelvin van der Linde and Alex Albon (AF Corse) complete the Top 5 of Race 2.
