C2: Paffett pockets another victory at the Lausitzring

After the season opener in Hockenheim (Germany), Gary Paffett scored his second victory of the season DTM, this time on the Lausitzring track (Germany). The Briton, who started from third place, did not panic to place himself as one of the challengers for the title.

DTM champion in 2005, Gary Paffett finished first in a calm race. The Safety Car remained parked in the pits and no incident took place, unlike the Saturday race, marked by the impressive crash of René Rast (Audi). The title holder was also withdrawn this Sunday, his car being destroyed and the doctors not having given their approval.

Starting from pole, Philipp Eng (BMW) fell in the standings to finish seventh. The interests of the Bavarian manufacturer were defended by Mark Wittman, second. Back in 2018 after his period Formula 1, pascal wehrlein (Mercedes) gets a podium (3rd).

The first Audi is only sixth, led by Briton Jamie Green. French Loïc duval (Audi) narrowly missed the points and finished 13th.
