A few hours after formalizing the arrival of Ferdinand Hapsburg, Aston Martin confirmed the arrival of Daniel Juncadella. With five seasons in DTM with Mercedes for a victory – last year at Brands-Hatch – the 27-year-old Spaniard therefore joins the 21-year-old Austrian in Florian Kamleger's squad as well as Paul di Resta et Jake dennis.
« Drawing on my experience, I hope to help R-Motorsport develop the Aston Martin Vantage DTM in a way that allows it to compete as quickly as possible with our rivals, underlines the European champion F3 2012. We have a lot of work to do before we get there but I am confident that we will be able to shine with our young but ambitious team. »
Audi and BMW having already formalized their drivers, only WRT remains to do so, the entry of two private M4 DTMs ultimately having little chance of succeeding.
