DTM – Audi unveils its line-up for 2017

After the withdrawal of Mücke Motorsport and ART from Mercedes and MTEK and Schnitzer at BMW, it is the turn of Audi Sport to unveil its lineup for the 2017 season of DTM.

The manufacturer at the Rings has confirmed the reduction from 4 to 2 cars for the Abt Sportsline team which will continue to enter Mattias Ekström and Nico Müller.

Team Phoenix, winner of the Teams title in 2013, will see the arrival of Loïc duval who will replace Timo Scheider after the program ends in WEC. The former winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans and WEC champion will team up with Mike Rockenfeller.

Team Rosberg will field René Rast and Jamie Green. The German who took Mike Rockenfeller's place at the end of last year's season will take the wheel previously occupied by Adrien Tambay.

“With Mattias Ekström at Abt, Jamie Green at Rosberg and Mike Rockenfeller at Phoenix, our three teams all have leaders, commented Audi Motorsport Director Dieter Gass. These three crews have been very successful in the past. The youngest, Nico Müller, follows in the footsteps of Edoardo Mortara, and our two new DTM recruits, Loïc Duval and René Rast, will benefit from the experience of their teammates. »
