DTM: Audi is ready for battle

For the first time in 20 years, the DTM will welcome the three major German manufacturers. Whether it's Audi, Mercedes-Benz or BMW will all want to shine during the opening round at Hockenheim. But this year, Audi seems even more armed than ever thanks to its eight cars. Which is not to displease Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich, head of Audi Motorsport. “Thanks to the different manufacturers and the technical regulations that we developed together, we have developed attractive races, but also superb cars with extraordinary aerodynamics. This combination will ensure an incredible show and we will do everything we can to make sure our new A5 makes a good impression. »

Among the Audi armada are two French drivers, among others. The first is none other than Adrien Tambay who is in his first season in the German championship. The second is Edoardo Mortara. This Franco-Italian was voted best rookie last year. He will undoubtedly want to confirm his performances in 2011. “With the arrival of BMW to play spoilsport between Audi and Mercedes-Benz, I think this year will be exciting”, admits Edoardo Mortara. “I hope we will have a good season and that the spectators will enjoy seeing us on the track. » For his part, Adrien Tambay remains with his feet on the ground and sets realistic goals. ?Personally, I just want to do my job, not make mistakes and finish the races to gain experience. I am looking forward to seeing what result I will be able to achieve. »

Sharp and ready for battle, Audi does not hide its joy at returning to the circuits. See you on April 29 for the first game in Hockenheim.
