DTM – Audi wants to take revenge in Moscow

Audi lost its victory at the Norisring, a success it had been waiting for for more than ten years, following the confirmation of the exclusion of Mattias Ekström. It is in a spirit of revenge that the Swede will approach the Russian round where the DTM moves for the first time. The double champion of the discipline remained active by defending the colors of the Inglostadt manufacturer at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. “The 24-hour race was the perfect opportunity to prepare for a weekend full of unknowns. I usually do well and the objective is therefore clear for Moscow: to win. »

With only two points ahead of Bruno Spengler, Championship leader Mike Rockenfeller also hopes to fight at the front. “I can't wait to see if our RS5 DTMs will be comfortable on this short track. This is the first race in a long time where everyone is starting from scratch, which makes things exciting. »

Adrien Tambay will once again look to score his first points of the season. The Frenchman intends to take advantage of the novelty of the circuit to make up for his lack of experience compared to the competition. “A new circuit can be beneficial for a young driver because no driver is advantaged by his experience. I would like to take advantage of this opportunity and push my luck a little. It's high time I started scoring points. »
