DTM – Bruno Spengler on pole ahead of the Audi armada

After observing a month-long summer break since the event organized in the Munich stadium, the DTM resumes his rights this weekend, for the sixth round of the 2012 season. For this return to competition, it is the Canadian Bruno Spengler of BMW Team Schnitzer who took pole position on the Nürburgring thanks to a lap completed in 1'24"284 in Q4. On the starting grid, the No. 3 BMW M7 DTM will be ahead of three Audi A5 DTMs. The young Edoardo Mortara will start in second position ahead of Felipe Albuquerque and Mike Rockenfeller, author of the absolute best time of the weekend in 1'23"950.

Bruno Spengler will have the opportunity to catch up in the championship since leader Gary Paffett will only be 11th on the starting grid ahead of Mattias Ekström. Frenchman Adrien Tambay, victim of an electrical problem during the second free practice session, will start in 16th position.
