DTM-C1: Timo Glock wins at Zandvoort

Starting from pole position, Timo Glock (BMW) negotiated his departure well unlike Maro Engel (Mercedes), in the gravel on the first lap but who was finally able to get back on the track. Glock leads the peloton ahead of his teammates Marco Wittmann, Maxime Martin and Augusto Farfus. Loïc duval (Audi) retained its sixth place before being penalized by five seconds for having anticipated the start.

The majority of drivers opted to stop in the first half of the race, with the BMW leaders observing their stops around the seventh lap. Mattias Ekström (Audi) will be trapped by cold tires, and will visit the gravel trap at the Tarzan corner. The Swede will eventually give up.

Lucas Auer (Mercedes) was the victim of contact with Nico Müller (Audi) which sent him off before the star driver could leave. Duval and Bruno Spengler (BMW) postponed their stops until the last ten minutes leaving the field open to Timo Glock, Marco Wittmann and Maxime Martin for a BMW hat-trick.

Mike Rockenfeller (Audi) and Jamie Green (Audi) follow ahead of Augusto Farfus (BMW) and Paul di Resta (Mercedes). Gary Paffett (Mercedes), René Rast (Audi) and Nico Müller (Audi) complete the top 10. Loïc Duval finishes 13th.
