DTM – Green threatens Ekström after C1 at Hockenheim

Starting from third position on the grid for Race 1 of DTM at Hockenheim, Jamie Green took the advantage over the BMW M4 DTMs of Timo Glock and Maxime Martin who started on the front row. The Briton first took advantage of the Belgian's poor start before overtaking the German after a few laps.

Jamie Green thus won his third victory of the season but above all he is nine points behind Championship leader Mattias Ekström (Audi) who failed to reach the points in 11th place after starting from tenth place.

Audi signs a double with the second place of Mike Rockenfeller starting from seventh row who was ahead of pole sitter Timo Glock on the podium after overtaking him on the last lap.

René Rast (Audi) took the points for sixth place, finishing behind Maxime Martin and Edoardo Mortara, first driver Mercedes. The German is 13 points behind Mattias Ekström.

Loïc duval (Audi) finished in last place, less than five seconds behind the BMW of Augusto Farfus after starting from penultimate place on the grid.

The start of the last race of the DTM season will be given this Sunday at 15:13 p.m. Audi is already assured of winning all three Drivers, Teams and Constructors' titles. The brand with the Rings won the title among the Manufacturers while the Audi Sport Team Rosberg, where Jamie Green and René Rast play, won the Team ranking. The Drivers' title can now only be won by Mattias Ekström, Jamie Green, René Rast and Mike Rockenfeller, all drivers from the marsue aux Anneaux.
