DTM – Jamie Green favorite at the Norisring?

The pilots Mercedes have the advantage at the start of the season thanks in particular to the two victories of Gary Paffett who has already widened the gap in the Championship. His teammate Jamie Green occupies third place in the Drivers' standings with his best result this season being second place at Hockenheim. However, things could change this weekend with the Norisring meeting where the Briton has already won three times in the past. The champion F3 2004 finds it difficult to explain why he displays such good form on the German track but he is keen to emphasize that the slightest error is not allowed, the barriers are never far from the cars.

“It is difficult to give the reasons which would explain my success at the Norisring”, comments the Mercedes driver. “The circuit represents a real challenge, particularly with its very long straight line. It's a route that requires little aero downforce where long straights alternate with brutal braking. In addition, the track is very bumpy. To be able to set a good time, you must have the courage to ride as close as possible to the safety rails, but you must know how to maintain a certain margin because otherwise you risk seeing your race end prematurely. This type of exercise seemed to suit my riding style in the past. »
