Le DTM will experience a real overhaul this season. Since last December, we knew that two races would now be on the program for each of the nine meetings of the 2015 calendar, but the format of these rounds remained to be determined.
ITR, the promoter of the series, clarified these terms this Friday. The first race on Saturday will last forty minutes plus a full lap, and will not include a mandatory pit stop. Concerning the Sunday test, sixty minutes plus one full round will be on the menu, with a mandatory tire change for pilots. Two qualifications before each race, lasting twenty minutes, will be organized.
Note that the DTM will welcome the World Rallycross Championship in Hockenheim in Germany, the weekend of May 1st.
