DTM – The Norisring postponed, the end of the championship delayed

The very compact calendar of DTM in 2013 is still evolving! The Norisring event, which was originally scheduled to take place on July 7, has been moved by a week and will take place on the 14th so as not to coincide with the new date of the German Grand Prix in Formula 1, which was going to take place the same weekend. In order not to suffer from competition and not to force German motorsport fans to make a crucial choice, the DTM management preferred to adapt its calendar. As a result, the event on July 21 in Zandvort, the Netherlands, has been moved to September 29.

This has the final consequence of delaying the final round of the year, which traditionally takes place at Hockenheim, by almost a month. Instead of taking place on September 15, the event will finally be held on October 20. Enough to make the pleasure and suspense last?

Here is the 2013 calendar for the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters:
May 5 – Hockenheim (Germany)
May 19 – Brands Hatch (Great Britain)
June 2 – Red Bull Ring Spielberg (Austria)
June 16 – Lausitzring (Germany)
July 14 – Norisring (Germany)
August 4 – Moscow (Russia)
August 18 – Nürburgring (Germany)
September 15 – Oschersleben (Germany)
September 29 – Zandvoort (Netherlands)
October 20 – Hockenheim (Germany)
