DTM – The video summary of the 2017 season

The 2017 season of DTM saw René Rast and Audi win the Drivers' and Manufacturers' titles. The German Touring Car Championship has gone through a tumultuous period following the announcement of the departure of Mercedes in 2019. The organizers even decided to remove the ballast which leveled the level of performance between the three manufacturers with two rounds remaining.

Audi will have dominated the season by monopolizing the first four places in the Championship with Mattias Ekström vice-champion ahead of Jamie Green and Mike Rockenfeller. Marco Wittmann took fifth place, finishing as the first BMW driver. At Mercedes, Lucas Auer was the best performer, taking sixth position. Audi Sport Team Rosberg won the Teams category with René Rast and Jamie Green. On the other hand, Loïc duval (Audi) had a difficult first season as it finished last.
