DTM – Molina transforms the test

Miguel Molina (Audi) did not have an easy task, but the Spaniard managed to transform his pole into victory at the end of Race 1 of the DTM at the Lausitzring. The driver of the No. 5 RS 17 DTM won his duel against Jamie Green who nevertheless secured a double for Audi by finishing two seconds behind the winner.

Robert Wickens (Mercedes) has long been in the running for victory, but the Canadian ultimately has to settle for the last step of the podium, finishing ahead of the Germans Marco Wittmann (BMW) and Christian Vietoris (Mercedes).

Mattias Ekström (Audi) ranks just outside the top five, ahead of Lucas Auer (Mercedes) and Edoardo Mortara (Audi). Belgian Maxime Martin (BMW) is ninth ahead of Nico Müller (Audi).

Adrien Tambay (Audi) only took 20th place while his compatriot Esteban Ocon (Mercedes) finished last, penalized by a drive through for hitting Martin Tomczyk (BMW) who retired.
