Gary Paffett has extended his contract with the star firm in the German Touring Car Championship. Next year, he and Mercedes will have to cross swords with Audi...and BMW.

DTM: Paffett-Mercedes, the adventure continues

With 17 victories in 73 races, Gary Paffett is the winningest active driver in DTM. And the Briton does not intend to stop there, since he has decided to extend the contract linking him to the star firm. So he will defend the colors of the German brand well in 2012 and beyond?

Champion in 2005, reserve driver McLaren-Mercedes In 2006, the first driver to win a DTM round with a one-year-old car, Gary Paffett has become an emblematic figure of the championship over the years. With 25 top 3 finishes, he finished on the podium in 34% of the DTM races he took part in.

This season, after three races, Gary Paffett only occupies ninth place in the general classification, with four small points collected.
