DTM – Rast takes Audi hat-trick to Red Bull Ring

Jamie Green (Audi) seemed well on his way to winning Race 2 of the DTM au Red Bull Ring. After starting from pole, the Briton controlled his lead until he encountered a mechanical problem relegating him to 14th place in the final laps.

René Rast was the first to take advantage and took victory ahead of Mike Rockenfeller and Nico Müller who monopolized the podium for Audi.

By signing his third success of the season, the German seizes second place in the Championship against the unlucky pole sitter, but he is still 21 points behind the leader of the classification Mattias Ekström (Audi) who secured the blow in completing the top five behind lead driver Gary Paffett Mercedes, after starting from eighth place.

Loïc duval (Audi) entered the points for the second time this year by taking eighth position behind the BMWs of Marco Wittmann and Timo Glock.
