DTM - Rast replaces Tambay at Zandvoort

Hit in the hand after the incident at the start yesterday in race 1, Adrien Tambay will be replaced by René Rast in the Audi RS 5.

Appeared with a bandage after the collision at the start of race 1 yesterday between his Audi RS 5 and the Mercedes by Maximilian Götz, provoked by Martin Tomczyk's BMW, Adrian Tambay underwent examinations yesterday which revealed no fracture in his hand.

The French driver, who still feels pain, will however be replaced by René Rast, who will evolve with No. 72 for his debut in the discipline. Rast belongs to the brand with the rings and is particularly specialized in GT3 events with the different R8 LMS models. He also took part in 24 Hours of Le Mans 2015 on an R18 LM P1 before taking second place in Sarthe in LM P2 this year with G-Drive.
