DTM – René Rast will defend his title in 2018

For its first real season in DTM, Rene Rast a marqué de son empreinte la série allemande. Après avoir découvert la discipline en 2016 à l’occasion de trois courses, l’ancien triple champion Porsche Supercup a bénéficié d’un programme complet en 2017 sous la bannière Team Rosberg.

At the end of a season fought until the final meeting, the native of Minden accumulated three victories and two additional podiums to win the Drivers' title against his teammates and rivals at Audi Sport Mattias Ekström and Jamie Green.

The reigning champion, also a regular in the LM P2 pelotons, has already been confirmed to compete in the Mazda RT24-P in IMSA on the long events of the North American Endurance Cup, but will put his title back on the line in DTM, as he recently admitted on his Facebook page.
