Since the start of the year, and despite two victories won in the rain at Oschersleben and on the very selective Norisring track, the Mercedes C-Coupé appeared behind the Audi and BMW. But on the Red Bull Austrian Ring, the cars with the star seem to have recovered wings. Robert Wickens took pole position after a very tight Q3, since the Canadian took pole in his final attempt and with only 6 thousandths ahead of the BMW M4 of Timo Glock. The old pilot F1 ahead of championship leader Marco Wittmann.
The disappointment came from the Audi clan, unable to place more than one car in Q3. Jamie Green will start 6th, while Mike Rockenfeller will start 14th and Adrien Tambay 20th ahead of former F1 residents Vitaly Petrov and Paul Di Resta, 22nd and 23rd.
The race will take place tomorrow at 13:30 p.m.
