DTM: Schumacher continues at Mercedes

In four seasons of DTM Ralf's track record Schumacher is not the most glorious, with only two podiums at the start of 2011. However, Mercedes continues to place his trust in him, and confirmed it in his 2012 squad. Michael?s younger brother will therefore participate next year in his 5th season in the German Touring Car Championship, where he will have to face BMW in addition to Audi. Ralf will be involved in the development of the new C-Class Coupé, a car he took the wheel of for the first time on October 12 and 13 at the Lausitzring.

“The DTM is a fantastic championship, underlines the one who has 11 seasons of F1 and six victories in 180 GP starts. With the new technical regulations and the arrival of BMW alongside Audi and Mercedes, the DTM has a bright future. I am delighted to take part in the development of the C-Coupé. My first impressions are positive, and I am very excited to race this car next year. At the start of the season, I was determined to take a step forward in my career in DTM, and I feel like I achieved it by taking two podiums, at Hockenheim and Spielberg. During the winter, we will focus on ensuring that I can achieve even better results in 2012."
