DTM – Spengler chasing Rockenfeller

The first Russian round in the history of DTM did not want to smile at the reigning champion. Following a contact, Bruno Spengler was unable to do better than 19th. This is one of the many reasons to boost the Canadian's motivation this weekend. On a Nürburgring circuit that he likes, the leader of the BMW armada will try to score a second victory this season.

“The Nürburgring is a very special place for me, because I have already won there three times, underlines the resident of BMW Team Schnitzer. It's also here that I took my second pole position last year and my second success with BMW. To tell the truth, I had a perfect weekend there. The spectators present are always real enthusiasts, real car racing fans. I'm really looking forward to feeling this unique atmosphere. » And the main team of the BMW Schnitzer Charly Lamm continues “After the debut of the DTM in Moscow, we are preparing to take on a challenge that is more familiar to us on the Nürburgring. We have a lot of good memories at this track, Bruno Spengler's victory last year being an important event in his accession to the crown. Hoping that we will enjoy more luck than in Russia. »

Despite his Moscow mishap, Bruno Spengler is still the leader's main rival Mike rockenfeller. But this weekend at the Nürburgring, the Canadian will have no other choice than to get ahead of the German from Audi, at the risk of seeing him become even more comfortable in the general classification. After six contested rounds, the winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2010 is in fact more than 27 points ahead…more than one victory.
